EngineIQ Diagnostic is an automotive diagnostic and shop workflow platform designed to help users manage customer and vehicle information, run AI-assisted diagnostics, document repair procedures, generate reports and invoices, and communicate with customers.
We may collect the following categories of information:
A. Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, login credentials, business or shop name, billing information.
B. Customer and Vehicle Information: Information you enter into the app, including customer names, phone numbers, and email addresses; vehicle year, make, model, engine, VIN, mileage, and license plate; customer complaints, repair history, technician notes, and related service records.
C. Diagnostic and Job Data: Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), freeze frame information, scan tool notes, live data notes, technician observations, diagnostic reports, repair estimates, invoices, approval records, and attachments such as photos, PDFs, screenshots, and related files.
D. Payment and Subscription Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, we may collect or receive subscription status, billing email, plan type, renewal and cancellation information, and payment processor customer or subscription IDs. We do not store full payment card numbers ourselves when payments are processed by third-party payment providers.
E. Device and Usage Information: We may automatically collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, log data, IP address, crash and performance data, and general usage analytics.
F. Communications: If you contact us, we may keep records of your messages, support requests, and related correspondence.
We may use collected information to: provide and operate EngineIQ Diagnostic; create and manage user accounts; save and organize customer, vehicle, and job records; generate diagnostic reports, estimates, invoices, and approvals; support app features and subscription access; process billing and manage subscriptions; improve performance, security, and reliability; respond to support requests; communicate service updates, billing notices, and important account information; detect misuse, fraud, or unauthorized access; and comply with legal obligations.
EngineIQ Diagnostic includes AI-assisted features that analyze user-entered automotive and workflow information. Information you enter into the app, including diagnostic notes, customer complaint descriptions, DTCs, and other job-related information, may be processed by third-party AI service providers solely to provide app functionality.
You are responsible for the information you enter into the app and for ensuring you have the right to use and process that information.
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information with trusted third parties only as needed to operate the app, including: hosting and cloud storage providers, authentication providers, analytics and error monitoring services, payment processors, AI service providers, and messaging or email service providers used for customer approvals, notifications, or communications.
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or legal process; to protect our rights, safety, security, or property; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale, or transfer of business assets.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app and its features, maintain job history, records, invoices, and approvals, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and operational requirements, and resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
When information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
Because EngineIQ Diagnostic is used to manage customer, vehicle, and service information, users are responsible for: entering accurate information; obtaining any required customer permissions; using the platform in compliance with applicable privacy and consumer protection laws; and safeguarding devices, passwords, and account access.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
EngineIQ Diagnostic is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to: access certain personal information; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of certain information; request a copy of your data; and opt out of certain communications.
